The Troops of Doom Brazil
Featuring guitarist Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz, a former member of Sepultura, alongside bassist/vocalist Alex Kafer, drummer Alexandre Oliveira and guitarist Marcelo Vasco, the band focuses on revisiting the essence of ‘80s-style death metal, exploring a more primitive sound that takes listeners back to that era, while remaining fresh, genuine, and ferociously heavy. ...more

Survival Of The Sickestby Bloodbath

Bloodbath continue their path of devastation with Nick Holmes in a way nobody would have expected in 2014. Is there domething like modern OSDM? If so, this is it. Diverse and elaborate songs destroying with class and obviously a lot of fun. From dark and heavy up to fast and rotten - Bloodbath deliver all the goods. mourner

Probably the best musical idea anyone from Sepultura has come up with since 1994. Only took 30 years to come up with it. This comment is almost as abrasive as the riffs and vocals on here. Sightless_Wisdom

Coagulating Darknessby Hellripper

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae

Morbid Visionsby Cavalera Conspiracy

I worried about how these re-recordings of the early-period Sepultura albums by the Cavalera brothers would turn out, but my fears have evaporated. This is not an uninspired cash grab devoid of passion. Quite the contrary, the re-recordings exemplify everything that is glorious about these albums - the amazing thrash riffs, the barely-contained intensity, and a laser-focused songwriting approach - and makes it all better with beefier production. And we haven’t even hit the holy trilogy yet!!! Ippocalyptica
