My experience at the Dayton Regional STEM School has been amazing. No matter how annoying the interactive projects seem to be, this school has given me an experience like no other schools. They prepare for the real world as well as preparation for college. I love the teachers here too. I would say the worst part of my experience has been the get-to-know-you activities, which wasn't terrible in itself. If I had to see some changes around here, it would be adding more clubs I'm interested in. Overall, this is a great school and any student should be lucky to be here.

The focus on STEM subjects allowed me to delve into engineering, computer science, and advanced mathematics. Hands-on projects and problem-based learning developed my critical thinking and practical skills. Supportive teachers fostered a close-knit community where collaboration thrived.
Participation in the Racial Alliance Collaborative Effort Club provided leadership opportunities and shaped my personal and professional development. The school's emphasis on real-world applications through projects with local businesses gave me practical insights.
However, outdated technology and insufficient supplies sometimes hindered learning. The rigorous curriculum could be overwhelming, leading to stress and burnout. Occasionally, disagreements between teachers and administration disrupted the learning environment.
Securing more funding for updated technology, implementing robust support systems, and increasing resources for extracurricular activities would enhance the school experience.

I love my school. Even though the name emphasizes science; technology; engineering and math, they also have perfect art, language, and history classes. The culture is very welcoming and diverse; Student identity is prioritized, and school counselors help students in every way possible. The only bad part are the school lunches; it's like 4-5 dollars per lunch and it barely fills you up.
