I’d love to know if you’ve ever had a Friendsgiving celebration and what your favorite part was!

You can share about it in the comments section below.

What I Love About Friendsgiving

When I think of Friendsgiving, I think of Thanksgiving with fewer “rules”.

Anyone else?

The menu doesn’t have to be the traditional Thanksgiving food.

Not that there’s a problem with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and turkey.

But after 3 Thanksgiving celebrations and leftovers for a week, I’m in need of something different haha!

I’ve seen a few different ways to turn left-over Thanksgiving food into something completely different.

I might try something like that this year…?

I also feel like I can decorate the table with non-traditional colors.

Friendsgiving is the perfect excuse to try something a little different and out of the box for Thanksgiving.

For my Friendsgiving tablescape, I decided to go with a plum and copper color scheme.

What I Used for This Friendsgiving Tablescape

Friendsgiving Tablescape: Pumpkins

Earlier I shared a harvest fruit tablescape and I talked about using whatever fruit or veggies you harvested.

I feel like that is a reoccurring theme with Fall tablescapes.

It’s ALL about the harvest!

To have a little fun with my pumpkins, I decided to use that pumpkin flower arrangement I made last week.

But like I said in my Fall living room tour, I don’t think it’s possible to have too many pumpkins, so I added a couple of smaller pumpkins on either side.

I wanted the flowers to be the main colors so I went with green pumpkins.

Then for another pop of plum, I placed two of those fabric pumpkins I made this year beside the green pumpkins.

Finally, I added a few of the baby white pumpkins that we grew in the garden this year in the bowls as a favor for the guests.

Friendsgiving Tablescape: Fall Florals

I’m so in love with the way this pumpkin flower arrangement turned out.

I love that the colors are not the traditional fall colors AND that the majority of the flowers came from our gardens.

A centerpiece like this can become a conversation piece.

How did you make it?

Was it difficult?

You know how it goes.

Before you know it, you’ll be talking about how your girlfriend made the best zucchini pizza from her garden and on that night the kids did this hilarious thing.

It doesn’t take much for a conversation to shift and flow, at least at my house.

I’ve been told I have a “spaghetti brain” once or twice.

That’s my husbands’ nice way of saying I can seamlessly jump from one conversation topic to another and somehow it makes sense haha!

As a side note, I currently have this fall flower arrangement sitting on my table all alone and it still looks beautiful.

Some of the flowers are starting to get droopy, and I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if I liked it better when the flowers were fresh or now that they are looking a bit more “vintage”.

Don’t droopy flowers feel more like fall/winter?

Friendsgiving Tablescape: Candles

The candles!!!

I love the candles so much!

They add to the mood of the table setting.

Even though you’re sitting at a table and not on the comfy couch the candles bring up the cozy factor.

They also make it feel like it’s a big occasion.

In my opinion, anytime you sit at the table is an excuse for a candle or 20 haha!

But some people reserve them for special moments, and Friendsgiving is a special occasion for sure!

I used one style of candle for my Summer boho garden party, and then a different style of candle for the apple tablescape.

Both looked great and created that cozy feeling.

How to Set A Stunning Friendsgiving Tablescape

Step 1

I started with a tablecloth.

This isn’t necessary, but I thought it helped make the setting look special.

Step 2

Next is the focal point of the centerpiece decorations.

The pumpkin flower arrangement.

Step 3

From there I worked my way out with the green and plum pumpkins.

Step 4

Now that the pumpkins are set it’s time to fill in with candles.

I didn’t have a real “system” to this.

I just placed them until they felt balanced on both sides of the pumpkins, with an equal number of candles on the left and on the right.

Step 5

Now that the centerpiece is finished it’s time to add the dishes and food!

That’s it!!

It’s seriously that easy to create a moody and elegant tablescape for your Friendsgiving celebration!
