Mission 07 - United Front is the first mission in Devil May Cry 5 where you can choose which character to use. You can choose between V and Nero. This page is part of the DMC5 Walkthrough and covers tips, strategies, and collectible locations.
If you start this mission with Nero, you'll know you earned two more Devil Breakers:
- (Long Reaching Whip) Rawhide
- (Manipulator of Time) Ragtime

Note: We played through this level with Nero, so the enemies you face as V may be slightly different.
As Nero, you'll start off underground in a subway. Destroy the blood clot up ahead.
Your first enemy beyond this is a Death Scissor duo.Deflect there scissors so that their guard breaks like you did the first time you encountered one. When its head glows red in response, shoot it to destroy it in one hit.
Follow the path through the broken down subway, and climb up metal spiral stairs - make sure to go all the way to the top to find a Gold Orb.
Keep following the path into the building. You'll get attacked by enemies, and a short cutscene will show you a giant blob in the center of a hallway. Destroy it so it stops spitting out enemies.
Continue deeper into the subway to a lower floor. Ahead, more enemies will attack - and another demon producing blob will show itself in the center of the room. Take it out, and the demons it produced here.
Red roots, flowers, and pollen will overcome the next hallway you enter. In the next room, look out for a Red Empusa and kill it to earn extra Red Orbs. Destroy the purple root pustule here, and in the hallway ahead.

To the left of the second glowing purple thing that shoots laser, there's a red root clot. Destroy it to open your path down the escalators behind you. A short cutscene will play through here.
Up ahead, another enemy-producing root sac has spawned, and it's spitting out difficult berserkers. If you have Enemy Step, it will absolutely come in handy here.
Jump into the air over the spawn point and hit it twice, then jump (without locking on) to perform a jump cancel so you can keep attacking it. This way, you can attack it freely while staying out of harm's way of the other enemies.
After defeating them, go ahead and make a left. Destroy the blood clot here, then turn around and head that way. Jump down. Then, go inside the train car here, and follow the exits and entrances to another train car until you reach the other side.
More enemies will appear here. Take out the roots first - they're easy to kill, but can be difficult to keep track of. After killing these enemies, you path opens up through an escalator staircase.
Take our the electrified purple bulbs first - but make sure not to get too close while it's glowing, or they'll deal damage to you. At the top of the stairs, take out the two demon-spawning bulbs ASAP.
After destroying them, keep following the path until you emerge from the subway and see a short cutscene of the demon tree in the distance.
Make a sharp right to find a Red Orb bush somewhat obscured by another staircase that leads down into the subway.
Now, run down to the destroyed outdoor theater below. V and Nero will reunite, and prepare to take on a boss fight together.

Boss Fight: Proto Angelo and Scudo Angelo
This is a pretty generic fight as far as boss battles go. Proto Angelo (the big one) is the main threat here. First, focus on the smaller enemies to get them out of the way while avoid others' attacks. This is easily done by staying in the air as much as possible.
This fight is made easier by your companion, either V or Nero depending on who you are playing as.
After defeating them, another cutscene plays, and V has a revelation.
